There's No Place Like Home
I don't understand the correlation but the closer I get to my delivery date, the more homesick I find myself. It's bizarre and unexplainable how my hatred of suburban life in general and Dorkaware in particular continues to grow. We have a nice house in a "safe" neighborhood. I should be content, grateful, happy. I'm not. I want to live in a REAL neighborhood like where I grew up, not on a street where every house is a little island unto itself. It's lonely and boring here. I'm tired of feeling isolated. Like an overtired child, I find myself ready to cry, "I WANT TO GO HOME!!!" If I saw the "Streets of Philadelphia" video right now, I'd probably weep. Pathetic.
