In the course of their brief conversation, Tom asked her not to walk the dog on our lawn. Period.
She got all huffy, pointing out that she always brings bags, picks up the crap, blah blah blah.
Awesome, lady. So I guess it's okay if we grafitti on your house as long as we bring soapy water and a sponge? We probably won't be able to clean it all off but hey, we tried and apparently by your standards that is just as good as, you know, not making the mess in the first place.
Anyway, Tom told her quietly, politely and in no uncertain terms that she is NOT to let the dog on our lawn. OUR lawn. It's not hers, it's OURS. So who does she think she is to argue with him when he tells her to keep her giant dog and its smelly, germy, nasty shit off of our lawn? SERIOUSLY???
It's our property. STAY OFF OF IT.
It's crazy to me that we'd even have to say this to people. Absolutely insane that people think it's acceptable to use someone else's front yard as a toilet. There isn't much that surprises me these days but people's warped sense of entitlement never fails to astound me.

wow...kudos to Tom for remaining calm...I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have.
